Water Treatment Plant Operator

The City of Coleman is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Municipal Water Treatment Plant Operator. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience in conducting operations for a municipal water treatment plant. A class "C" Surface Water Treatment Operator's certification from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is preferred. Candidates without a minimum of a class "C" certification must be able to obtain the certification within two years. The City may also consider candidates with a class "D" operators certification with experience in a water treatment plant environment. Candidates should also have a minimum of a class "C" driver's license and a good driving record. Cemetery Groundskeeper / General Maintenance Worker

Code Enforcement Officer

The City of Coleman is seeking applications for a full-time position for Code Enforcement Officer. This position ensures compliance with applicable City Ordinances and State Health and Safety Codes, and other federal and state regulations for the City of Coleman. Under limited supervision, the position investigates complaints and identifies alleged violations in an assigned area of responsibility to assure compliance. The Code Enforcement Officer will maintain up to date records, prepare reports as needed, prepare and issue notices of violations, provide administrative support to the Building Official, Fire Marshall, Flood Plain Administrator, other City Departments, and the general public. The position is supervised by the Fire Chief. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and must have a current Texas Code Enforcement License. Police Officer

The City of Coleman is seeking applications for a full-time position for Police Officer. The successful candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid current law enforcement license issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. Starting salary for patrol officers is $19.50/hr. The position includes an excellent benefits package, including longevity pay and retirement with a 7% employee contribution and 2/1 matching by the city. Candidates should have electrical experience as well as previous experience working on line and with crews. Must have a CDL Class "B" License or be able to obtain one within the required time frame of 3 months. The salary for the position ranges from $12 to $15, dependent upon experience and qualification.
