Rental Facilities


TILLMAN COMMUNITY ROOM

With seating and tables for 100, this room is available for organizational and/or business trainings. For those trainings that need special equipment, a podium with sound, AV cart, projector with a wall mounted screen, and a presentation cart is available when you rent this room. With wireless accessibility this room is a complete training room; however, if you need computers the twelve (12) computer Community Distance Learning Lab is also available. It has access to the main facility's restrooms. With their own outside entrance/exit, the Tillman Building and the Community Distance Learning Lab can be used "after library hours." 

As an extra bonus, full kitchen facilities and handicap restrooms are easily accessible and adjacent to the Tillman Community Room. If needed, the library has available, a hospitality cart with a large coffee urn ready for use during your training. Individual heating/cooling units and ceiling fans make the room inviting year round. 

The Tillman Community Room is not just a training area but has been used for showers, wedding receptions, art shows, and other social events. With its warm and inviting décor, the room's motif is a welcoming atmosphere for many events.

Deposit and usage fee are due when the Community Rooms are reserved. Cancellation must be made more that 24 hours before the reservation time in order to receive full refund of both the usage fee and deposit. No refund of the usage fee for cancellation made less than 24 hours before reservation time.
If the Community Rooms are used for a political function, a disclaimer must state that neither the Coleman Public Library nor the City of Coleman is in any way endorsing or supporting any specific candidate for elective office. This disclaimer must be used on all promotional material for the event and clearly posted on the premises at the event. 

An assigned delegate by the Library Director, Advisory Board or City of Coleman may be present at any event held in the Community Rooms at the discretion. 

USAGE RULES :
  • Absolutely NO smoking or alcoholic beverages are allowed on the premises.
  • Children must be supervised at all times.
  • Users of the Community Rooms are responsible for clean-up both inside and outside the building. Users are responsible for rearranging tables and chairs, turning off lights , cleaning up all food and drinks in the Community Rooms and kitchen.
  • All trash must be removed from the premises. Dumpsters are available in the alley behind the Library, but should not be accessed by going through back doors.
  • No tacks , nails , staples or packing or duct tape should be used on the walls. Poster putty or scotch tape is permissible, but users are responsible for any damage which might occur.
  • Deposit will be refunded when the key is returned to the Library Director and premises pass inspection. If any damage is noted, the deposit will be held to help defray the cost of clean-up or repair. Users are responsible for any damages other than normal wear inflicted on the premises furniture or fixtures in the Community Rooms. Damage amount will be determined by the Library Advisory Board .
