In Coleman, we believe that nature affords the best opportunity for recreation. Whether it is our City Park, the Milton Autry Memory Lake, Hord's Creek Lake, or Lake Coleman, there are plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy the beauty that this area has to offer.

Coleman's City Park, located on the scenic banks of Hord's Creek, offers picnic facilities under majestic shade trees, a western museum, tennis courts, a recreation center with Olympic-sized swimming pool and colorful playground equipment, along with a Disc Golf Course! Milton Autry Memory Lake, located just outside of Coleman on County Road 402 (aka Memory Lake Road), is a great place to relax and enjoy fishing or swimming. No motorized boats are allowed on this small lake, so it is perfect for quiet recreation.

Hords Creek Lake, is a US Army Corps of Engineers Lake, located 8.7 miles West of Coleman on FM 153. This is an excellent location with numerous camping sites or day use opportunities including a swim beach and picnic tables, boat ramps, and RV sites with 30 AMP or 50 AMP service, and full hookups available.

Lake Coleman, is located approximately 14 miles North of Coleman on US-283 and is the main water source for the City of Coleman. There is a public boat ramp, plus primitive and RV camping available. Fees are listed below:

Partial Hookups w/electric $15 / day
Primitive w/o electric $10 / day
Day Rate $8 / day
1/2 Day Rate $5

Lake O. H. Ivie is located at the Southern end of Coleman County at the intersection of Coleman, Runnels and Concho Counties. This is a large lake on the Colorado and Concho Rivers with excellent fishing and recreation opportunities.
