Meetings

The Council holds two (2) Meetings per month, on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month. The Council may also have Special Called Meetings as required. Meetings generally begin promptly at 5:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 200 W. Liveoak in Coleman. Meetings are open to the Public. For specific dates and times, check the public meeting calendar below.

City Council

The City Council is comprised of a Mayor and 4 Council Members. The city charter divides the city into 4 "Wards". Place 1 is known as North Ward; Place 2 is known as West Ward; Place 3 is known as East Ward; and Place 4 is known as South Ward. Council members are required to live in the Ward that corresponds to their place on the council. All council members are elected by a popular vote of the City of Coleman as a whole.
