Financial/Tax Information Information
The City of Coleman recognizes the importance of maintaining the public trust through financial transparency. It is the responsibility of the City Manager to prepare and present an annual budget to the City Council in accordance with state law. Proposed budgets are prepared, filed with the City Secretary, and posted online for review for a minimum of 15 days prior to a Public Hearing on the proposed budget, and a minimum of 30 days before the adoption of a tax rate.

THE CITY OF COLEMAN ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.50 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $-12.99.Budgets/Audits
