Utility Billing
City Owned Utilities work to provide essential services to our residents
without the built-in profit required of a private utility. All profits
generated by City Owned Utilities go back into the community by funding
police, fire, streets, parks and libraries, along with other areas of the
municipal government and help to keep property taxes low.
The City of Coleman provides water, sewer, garbage and electrical service to
the residents of Coleman and the surrounding area. Rates for specific services are listed below.
Notice: Residential garbage customers are allowed 1 bulk
item / bundle or 5 bags (in addition to any poly carts they may have) per week. This is a
free service to our residential customers to encourage clean properties.

| Power Cost and Tax Adjustment |

The above rate schedules shall be subject to the following adjustment: The power cost adjustment will be calculated based upon the total KWH included in the monthly bill, times the adjustment per KWH for the current month. In case the rate under which the City purchases power at wholesale is adjusted in accordance with the City's wholesale power contract, the foregoing energy charges shall be adjusted each month by the same amount per KWH as the power cost adjustment per KWH in the City's wholesale power bill for the next proceeding month.
