The City of Coleman strives to provide the best quality water to our citizens that we can, and has been designated as a Superior Water System by the State of Texas and was recently voted as Best Tasting Drinking Water for Systems under 10,000 population. Our water is obtained from surface water sources, including Lake Coleman, and Hords Creek Resevoir, and Lake Scarborough.

Important Information about your Drinking Water

Our water system has sampled for a series of unregulated contaminants. Unregulated contaminants are those that don't yet have a drinking water standard set by the Environmental Protection Agency. The purpose of monitoring for these contaminants is to help the EPA decide whether the contaminants should have a standard. As our customers, you have a right to know that these data are available. If you are interested in examining the results, please contact Toby Terry at (325) 625-5412 or 701 Western Drive, Coleman, Texas 76834.
