Candidate Applications
The May 2, 2026, General Election will be held at the Coleman City Hall / City Council Chambers, located at 200 W. Liveoak. Filing for a place on the ballot is set by state statute and will run from January 14 to February 13, 2026. Filing packets may be picked up at City Hall. Important Dates
- January 1, 2026 - First day to apply for a ballot by mail.
- January 14, 2026 - First day to have your name placed on the ballot.
- February 13, 2026 - Last day to have your name placed on the ballot.
- February 17, 2026 - Last day to file a Declaration of Write-in Candidacy.
- April 2, 2026 - Last day to register to vote.
- April 20, 2026 - Last day to apply for a ballot by mail.
